Ray Nunn is the Founder of Nunn Construction, Inc., a construction company serving the Colorado Springs area for over 40 years. Previously, he served as Vice President for GE Johnson Construction Company. He also earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of New Mexico School of Engineering in 1972.
Ray has served the community in countless ways, including serving on the advisory board and numerous committees over the past 24 years for the Pikes Peak region’s sect of the Salvation Army, as well as serving on the board of Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care and the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC. Amongst his many honors, he was awarded the Lifetime Entrepreneur Award in 2022 by the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, as well as the Makepeace Community Trustee Award by Leadership Pikes Peak in 2020.

Bill graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1969 and became a Certified Public Accountant working in Colorado and Utah. Bill recently retired from SSA, Certified Public Accountants and Advisors, where he worked for over thirty-five years. He was appointed by Governor Hickenlooper for two, four-year terms as a Director and Chair on the Colorado Educational and Cultural Facilities Authority (CECFA) Board. With his accounting experience, he is dedicated to assisting meaningful community service organizations.
Marianne currently serves as a Faculty member and Program Coordinator of Health Information Technology and Management at Pueblo Community College. Her career has spanned a variety of roles, from marketing and accounting in the consumer products sector and serving as a stay-at-home mom and homemaker, to various positions in healthcare and now career and technical education.
Marianne is an immigrant from Sweden, having moved to the United States in her late teens. Colorado Springs has been her home since the late 1970s. “I found that when I was able to rejoin the workforce after many years raising a family, I wanted to work with something that served people and made life better for others,” says Marianne. “My experience with Peak Vista and the great care I’ve received at local hospitals, inspired me to want to work in healthcare.”

Stella is Sr. Vice President at El Pomar Foundation. In this role, she serves as Program Officer for Elevating Leadership Development (ELD), Pikes Peak Heritage Series, and Forum for Civic Advancement, and serves as the senior staff member for the Pikes Peak Regional Council.
Previously, Stella held roles on countless boards and committees, including but not limited to, the Colorado Springs Downtown Development Authority, the Board of the GE Johnson Foundation, and Associated General Contractors of Colorado. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design, and worked professionally in architecture and interior design, sustainability consulting, and corporate citizenship prior to joining El Pomar Foundation.
Growing up in an Army family, Stella was born in Stuttgart, Germany. She moved to Colorado Springs in 1988 and lived up and down the Front Range before settling back in Colorado Springs.
Bob Duran is a proud father of six children and a member of the Colorado Springs community since 1981. He currently operates a taxi service and has been a Peak Vista patient since 2002.
Mary Lynn Sheetz has been with Peak Vista Community Health Centers for over 50 years. She works with low-income individuals and those experiencing homelessness at Mesa House, a hospitality house in Colorado Springs.
She says that she is committed to Peak Vista because health care should be a right of everyone, not the privilege of a few. The entire community benefits by caring for one another.
Reverend Turner has built his management skills through work in business and ministry. He has served as the Pastor at the LIFE Church of Colorado Springs since 2010, and previously served as a Student Pastor at Livingway Pentecostal Church and Director of The Pentecostal Student Center.
David serves as the Director, President for Youth with a Mission (YWAM – Bishop), Sea & Summit Expeditions, in Bishop, California; an organization he has served with for the past 29 years. He also serves as the YWAM – Bishop Board President (2004-present), and previously as Board Vice President for YWAM – Santa Barbara (1996-2001).
While he currently calls Florissant, Colorado home, David was born in Southern California and raised in the woods and on the lakes of Upstate New York in the Skaneateles Lake area. After college and before moving to Colorado, he lived for 26 years all over California, from the farmlands to the beach, and the desert to the majestic Sierra Nevada.
David earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Houghton College in New York, concentrating on philosophy, religion, and sociology. He’s certified as a Wilderness First Responder and has worked professionally as an outdoor adventure guide, team & personal growth outdoor instructor, and invested extensive time into reconciliation outreach with indigenous peoples.
Lelia serves in Recreational Assistance for the City of Colorado Springs. Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, she has lived in Colorado Springs for 46 years and resided for 30 of those years in the southeastern part of the region. She currently serves on the Board of RISE Southeast where she is also a Resident Leader; the Board of the Colonial Park HOA; and has been an active leader in her church for over 13 years. She also served for 4 years on the steering committee that helped to build the Southeast YMCA and was part of several committees over the last 3.5 years aiding in the reopening of Panorama Park.
Over the past 25 years, Lelia has worked as an educator and within the non-profit sector and social services industries. She’s held roles as a youth, family, and community advocate; project and program coordinator; outreach and event coordinator; community navigator; and served in positions in program, project, and care management.
Fadi serves as a Data Analytics Supervisor for the El Paso County Department of Human Services (DHS). He previously worked for 3.5 years as an epidemiologist in the office of Data and Analytics of El Paso County Public Health. He was named the National Alliance for Mental Health’s (NAMI) Advocate of the Year in 2020, and Person of the Week for the Pikes Peak United Way in February 2021. He’s also been published in several prestigious publications including the International Journal of Cancer, The Journals of Gerontology, and the Hawai’i Journal of Medicine & Public Health.
Having immigrated from Iraq to the United States, Fadi and his family settled in Hawaii where he later attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa. There he earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Biology and Journalism; a Master of Science in Epidemiology; and is a currently completing his Doctorate in Epidemiology. In 2019, he moved to Colorado Springs where he resides with his wife and daughter.
Rocio currently serves as the Memory Care Director at Jackson Creek Senior Living in Monument. Her entire career has been in healthcare, with most of her work in senior living communities. She was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León Mexico, moved to the United States at age four, and has lived here in Colorado Springs for 28 years. She grew up in the Knob Hill area of town and has called southeastern Colorado Springs her home for the past 10 years.
Rocio earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in health care administration from Ashford University and holds a minor in finance. She’s also a certified nurse aide, having trained at the Nursing & Therapy Services of Colorado, and is certified as a Qualified Medication Administration Personnel (QMAP). Rocio is continuing her training in project management with a goal to receive a PMP certificate and hopes to pursue a doctoral degree in health care administration.
Calling Colorado Springs home since 2022, John and his wife, Annette, moved from Jackson, Wyoming where they spent 30 years raising their two daughters, Kathleen and Molly. John recently retired from a career in healthcare IT, working as general counsel for several venture backed start-up companies around the U.S. and Canada. Annette recently retired herself after serving 43 years as a nurse, including her oncology nursing position at Sloan Kettering in New York.
John received a JD / MBA from Southern Methodist University and has practiced law in Texas and Wyoming since 1982. He is currently on the Board of the Empty Stocking Fund and the Colorado Springs Airport Advisory Commission Board.
