Setting Standards

Peak Vista’s Primary Care Fellowship has been accredited since 2017 through the ANCC Practice Transition Accreditation Program® (PTAP). PTAP is the premier accreditation for fellowship programs that transition APRNs into new practice settings.

In August 2024 Peak Vista’s Primary Care Fellowship was granted accreditation through the ANCC Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Accreditation™ (APPFA). APPFA is a newly created credential that recognizes transition-to-practice programs for APRNs and physician assistants (PA). National advanced practice provider (APP) leaders collaborated to create this innovative credential using evidence-based criteria. Earning APPFA means a program demonstrates excellence in transitioning APPs into practice.

APPFA Benefits:

  • One set of standards for APP fellowships.

  • Interprofessional standards that leverage APP practice within health care organizations.

  • A peer review appraisal process that focuses on process improvement.
