Connect for Health Colorado® is Colorado’s official health insurance marketplace, and the only place to apply for financial help to reduce your monthly health insurance costs. The financial help you can get through Connect for Health Colorado to lower your monthly payment is called a Premium Tax Credit. Coloradans that qualify for financial help may also qualify for healthcare discounts, called cost-sharing reductions, that lower the amount you pay when you use your plan. Healthcare discounts are available on silver level plans sold through Connect for Health Colorado.

Connect for Health Colorado Enrollment Center in Colorado Springs have certified brokers to recommend a health insurance plan based on your specific needs, help you apply for financial help, and help you sign up for that plan. All health insurance plans sold through Connect or Health Colorado cover essential health benefits and you cannot be charged more or prevented from getting the care you need because of a pre-existing condition.

Who has to buy health insurance?

Most people are required to have a basic level of health coverage. Visit one of our many Enrollment Services locations for more information. 

When can I purchase health coverage through Connect For Health Colorado?

Open enrollment runs each year from November 1st hrough January 15th. You can still purchase health insurance outside of open enrollment if you have had a life changing event such as:

  • Marriage

  • Divorce 

  • Birth of a Baby

  • Loss of job-based coverage or a change in income

  • You are turning 26 years old

What if I can't afford to buy health insurance?

You may get financial help to help you pay for coverage and care; this amount is based on your income. You may also qualify for a public program like Medicaid or Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+). for coverage options that may be available to you, please visit www.connectforhealthco.com(opens in a new tab) or call Enrollment Services at (719) 344-6889

What services are covered?

Many medically necessary services are covered under ACA, including preventive care, immunizations, well-care visits and certain cancer screenings, prescriptions, laboratory and behavioral health services.

What Is The 340B Drug Pricing Program?

The federal 340B Drug Pricing Program provides relief from high prescription drug costs, ensuring you have access to the medications you need at prices you can afford. To receive the low 340B price, patients must fill prescriptions at one of the following pharmacies working in partnership with Peak Vista:

What Is The Accountable Care Organization (ACO)?

Peak Vista Community Health Centers and Mountain View Medical Group have joined forces as an Accountable Care Organization (ACO) to participate in the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP). This new partnership, known as Clinical Partners of Colorado Springs (CPCS), is made up of physicians and other health care providers who work together with Medicare to deliver high-quality service and care at the right time, in the right setting. Under the ACO model, physician-led Care Teams provide coordinated care for Medicare Fee-­for-­Service beneficiaries that are enrolled in traditional Medicare.

The primary goal of Clinical Partners of Colorado Springs (CPCS) is to improve and maintain population health by providing a high-quality continuum of care. As participants in the MSSP, CPCS facilities and providers will be measured on 33 separate quality indicators to ensure appropriate, timely and well-­coordinated care

What Is Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+)?

CHP+ is low-cost health insurance for Colorado’s uninsured children and pregnant women. CHP+ is public health insurance for children and pregnant women who earn too much to qualify for Medicaid, but cannot afford private health insurance.

The APRN Fellowships are a 12-month, full-time salaried position with a competitive benefits package.

When do the APRN Fellowships begin?
Generally, the Fellowship begins in early September. The Fellows spend 12-months in an immersive, supportive, clinical environment.

How many Fellows will be in the program?
The Fellowship accepts 5 Fellows per program every year.

Who can apply for the Fellowship?
The APRN Fellowship is designed for transitioning or recently graduated FNPs who will be certified and licensed by the start of the program.

Will APRN Fellows see patients while in this program?
Yes, as licensed medical professionals, the APRN Fellows will see Peak Vista patients seeking primary medical care for acute and chronic needs.
